Resources
Readiness does not start with a contract. It starts with knowing what to ask. Start here.
The LEAD method
The LEAD method is a four-option response framework for active threats: Lock, Escape, Alert, Defend. It replaces a single rigid rule with clear choices, so people can act on the best option available to them.
When a threat arrives, people need options, not a script. LEAD gives your team four clear ones.
Hide and barricade. Set the room up to counter.
Gain distance from the threat when the path is clear.
Tell the people around you. Call 911. Use the radio or alert app.
Commit to the physical response. It can be your first and only option.
Want this taught to your whole staff? It is the core of our LEAD Tactics training. See the program.
